Konnichiwa, it's Chika Sensei.

Today I am going to share the homework correction quoted from my JLPT N3 course!
The student's sentence is not correct. Can you find the mistake?

[Student's sentence]

[My correction]

According to the weather report, it will rain tomorrow.

らしい is not only used for things you read or heard about, it also includes one's own thoughts and ideas.
You know from the weather report that it will rain tomorrow; you did not make the decision on your own.
So you should use そうだ for hearsay.

e.g.
According to my father, this park used to be an elementary school.

That ramen shop seems to be good. There are always people lined up, and several people have recommended it to me.

I hope my explanation helps you. 😊
